Tournament Notes Denny’s, the PBA and the USBC will select one female senior and one male senior from each state that recognizes bowling as a varsity sport and is a member of a high school varsity bowling team. The total field will be made up of 18 girls and 16 boys from around the country. Selection for the Denny’s All-American High School Championships will be based on the student-athlete’s high school bowling accomplishments, academic achievement, recommendations, extracurricular activities, community involvement and resumé.

Oil Pattern

Viper


A viper strikes with multiple angles of attack. This pattern will challenge players to attack the pins from multiple angles in order to score well.
Tournament Format

Qualifying:

  • 8 games (cut to top 8 boys and 8 girls based on total pinfall)
  • 8 games of traditional Round Robin match play; 30 bonus pins for each match play win and 15 for a tie; 8th game will be position round

TV Finals

  • Top 2 girls from qualifying round (total pinfall) will compete for the girls championship
  • Top 2 boys from qualifying round (total pinfall) will compete for the boys championship
  • Winner of the girls and boys championship matches will team up with a PBA pro for a 1-game doubles match

  • Registered in the USBC High School Team membership program
  • Minimum 2.7 GPA (on a 4.0 scale or equivalent)
