Cheetah

At 35 feet in length, the Cheetah is the highest scoring of the five named patterns. Originally designed for use on worn lane surfaces, the Cheetah has produced some of the most memorable moments on the PBA Tour because of its propensity for rewarding players who “live on the edge”. This pattern places a premium on the ball traveling towards the gutter in order to maximize the best possible angle to carry all ten pins. The scoring pace on Cheetah is normally high with the champion being required to know that success means striking and not just hitting the pocket.

PBA Animal Pattern Championship Event
The new regional “animal pattern” series will provide players an opportunity to win paid entries into the 2012 PBA World Series of Bowling. At each designated PBA Regional Animal Pattern Championship, players can pay an optional $50 entry fee to compete for a paid entry into the World Series. Additional entries may be awarded based upon the number of entries in each regional “animal pattern” event.

In addition, the bowler in each of the PBA’s seven regions who compiles the highest competition points total for the four “animal pattern” events will earn a paid entry into the WSOB. No additional entry fee is required to become eligible for the entries based on the four-event qualifying program.

Top 16 bowl 8 games round robin finals at 8:30 a.m.,
second 8 games of round robin at Noon.
Top 4 advance to stair step roll-off immediately after position round.

Members: $220
Non-Members: $285 (Non-members must pay by money order, cashiers chaeck, or credit card)
Note: All bowlers may enter online by Midnight the Monday prior to the event.
