By then the outcome was decided as Pedersen mustered a three-bagger starting In the sixth frame and closed with a turkey. In the opening game of the ABC Sports-televised finals, Pedersen blasted first-time finalist Tim Weisbrod of Cincinnati, Ohio, 268-156. Next up was reigning PBA Player of the Year Amleto Monacelli, the Venezuelan making his third consecutive championship round appearance, and for the third week he also came away empty-handed, 230-208.
