PBA Senior U.S. Open MATCH PLAY is now in progress

Hall of Famer Brian Voss emerged as the PBA Senior U.S. Open qualifying leader with a 5,940 pinfall (220 average) after 27 games Thursday after battling for the top spot for most of the block with Harry Sullins and defending champion Wayne Webb who are tied for second just six pins behind.

Five-time Lumber Liquidators Professional Bowlers Association Tour titlist Harry Sullins, trying to win his first Senior Tour title, moved into the lead after first round match play action Thursday in the 2009 PBA Senior U.S. Open presented by Suncoast at the Suncoast Bowling Center.

Hall of Famer Brian Voss retained his lead with a 4,074 18-game pinfall (226.3 average) after third round qualifying Wednesday in the Professional Bowlers Association Senior U.S. Open at the Suncoast Bowling Center.

With the help of a 289 game Jim Murtishaw led a field of 269 players after first round qualifying Monday in the 2009 Professional Bowlers Association Senior U.S. Open at the Suncoast Bowling Center.

Professional Bowlers Association Hall of Famer and defending champion Wayne Webb heads a list of approximately 250 bowlers ages 50 and over who will compete in the PBA Senior U.S. Open May 31-June 5 at the Suncoast Bowling Center in Las Vegas, Nev.
