Nagy, who passed away in 1966, was one of 33 founding members of the PBA. A colorful and talented performer, Nagy served as PBA President in 1963-64. His guidance and counseling during the PBA's formative years were prime factors in his election. In fact, he made such an everlasting impact on his fellow pros that the Steve Nagy Sportsmanship Award was established shortly after his death.
