2006-07: After missing out on an exemption via the PBA World Point Rankings when he finished 47th, LeClair regained his exemption with a fourth-place finish in the 2007 Lake County Indiana Denny’s PBA Tour Trials… Became the first bowler to earn exemptions via Tour Trials (2007), the PBA Regional Tour (2006) and the PBA World Point Rankings (2004)… Though he cashed in all 19 Denny’s PBA Tour events he bowled in, he made match play just six times… Had a tough luck middle of the season, missing the cut to match play by two spots or less three times in four events… Finished 34th in both the 2006 Beltway Classic and 2006 Columbia 300 Classic to close out the first half, then finished 33rd in the 2007 Earl Anthony Medford Classic… Best finish of the first half was 24th in the Lake County Indiana Classic… Had his best week of the season in the 64th U.S. Open, making match play and finishing 22nd… Went 0-4 in single elimination match play on the season, including a 5-16 match game record… Was in or near the top seven throughout the week of the Tour Trials… Was 12th after the first day, 11th after the second day, then shot up to third after the third day… Remained in the top four over the final two days to regain his exemption.
Career: Still looking for his first career title... Is winless in 337 career events which includes two second-place finishes…. Has cashed in 182 of 356 career events and has made match play 91 times… Has yet to win a singles match on television, going 0-4 with a 220.00 average in four career TV singles appearances… Lost to Walter Ray Williams Jr. in the title match in each of his first two career TV appearances by a combined three pins; lost 208-206 in the finals of the 1996 Track Synergy Open and 258-257 in the finals of the 1996 Showboat Invitational… His next two losses on TV came at the hands of another PBA Hall of Famer, Parker Bohn III; lost 217-207 in the finals of the 1998 Greater Harrisburg Open and 234-210 in the finals of the 2002 Battle at Little Creek… Made the championship round in the 2000 National/Senior Doubles with Jim Long, finishing third… Owns nine PBA Regional Tour titles and $142,103 in regional earnings… His total PBA earnings stand at $558,412.
