2006-07: After missing out on an exemption via the PBA World Point Rankings when he finished 47th, LeClair regained his exemption with a fourth-place finish in the 2007 Lake County Indiana Denny’s PBA Tour Trials… Became the first bowler to earn exemptions via Tour Trials (2007), the PBA Regional Tour (2006) and the PBA World Point Rankings (2004)… Though he cashed in all 19 Denny’s PBA Tour events he bowled in, he made match play just six times… Had a tough luck middle of the season, missing the cut to match play by two spots or less three times in four events… Finished 34th in both the 2006 Beltway Classic and 2006 Columbia 300 Classic to close out the first half, then finished 33rd in the 2007 Earl Anthony Medford Classic… Best finish of the first half was 24th in the Lake County Indiana Classic… Had his best week of the season in the 64th U.S. Open, making match play and finishing 22nd… Went 0-4 in single elimination match play on the season, including a 5-16 match game record… Was in or near the top seven throughout the week of the Tour Trials… Was 12th after the first day, 11th after the second day, then shot up to third after the third day… Remained in the top four over the final two days to regain his exemption.
